The Zephyrhills Daybreak Rotary Club was responsible for initiating and promoting the building of the interactive water park in Zephyrhills, by pledging to pay $45,000 towards this project over several years. The City of Zephyrhills responded to this effort by applying for Grant funds and securing the sponsorship of another major donor corporation, Zephyrhills Spring Water Co. The Water Park was dedicated in September 2006, Memorializing Thomas P. McAlvanah, a Past Daybreak Rotary President and former City attorney and is the only one of its kind located in Pasco County. On opening day, children enthusiastically lined up to play in the park. The cost of the water park was paid for entirely by grants and donations. It is located at Zephyr Park. Admission is free and it is open from dawn until dusk.
